My one-to-one online consultations are for women who have had enough of feeling unwell and who are ready to dig deep and take action. Combining functional medicine testing, lifestyle therapy and private coaching, we’ll work on your mental & physical health from as many angles as possible. I will listen to you, cheer you on and be there for you along the way. And never ever will I tell you that you are crazy.

I'm Claudia Smith

I am deeply committed to helping women improve their mental and physical health in holistic ways. Why? Because of my own personal health struggles!

Back in my early twenties I suffered from major depression, fatigue, severe eczema, allergies and joint pain. I probably won’t have to tell you just how horrible and dark those times were. 

Fortunately, I stumbled upon nutritional therapy which allowed me to heal my body and mind in ways that address the root causes of my poor health.

Having trained in nutritional therapy, functional medicine and also positive psychology coaching, I am now here to help you get better too. With my consultation packages I am offering the kind of support that I wish I could have had back when I was so unwell myself.

I’m a kind and caring practitioner with a strong commitment towards ongoing learning and training. Integrative mental healthcare is my big passion in life.

My consultation packages

I only offer consultations in packages because a single consultation is unlikely to give you your desired outcomes. Improving your physical and particularly your mental health is rarely a quick-fix project! (And nothing is more frustrating for me than not seeing you get the results you hope for!)

My 6 month programme

We will meet every two weeks for 6 months and as such this programme is perfect if you are looking for ongoing support and encouragement.

  • Initial consultation (2 hours)
  • 11x follow-up fortnightly consultations (1 hour each)
  • Full email support Mon-Fri
  • Case analysis and health assessment
  • Personalised nutrition, lifestyle and supplement recommendations throughout our time together
  • Recommendation of functional tests including interpretation (where appropriate)
  • Online client management software for all your forms, protocols and tasks

We will have 3 consultations together and as such this programme is best suited to people who are looking for advice but not necessarily the full support to help them implement any changes.

FAQs

Which kind of test(s) we might want to use really depends on what you are experiencing physically and mentally. As such, it’s difficult to say without knowing you and your health history in great detail. 

Often though I make use of stool testing, particularly if digestive symptoms have been present for a long time. Perhaps we’ll investigate SIBO (small intestine bacterial overgrowth), or check your thyroid function, or your stress and sex hormones. We might want to run a urinary organic acids test or run a blood test to check for nutritional deficiencies. 

Whichever test we use, they tend to be tests you can do on your own at home. The lab will send the test kit to you, you’ll provide the sample and then simply ship it back to them.

I am not trying to sell you snake oil. I am also not making any guarantees or big claims around 100% perfect health. In my opinion, anyone who tries to sell you perfect health and guaranteed full recovery should be kept at arm’s length! 

However, I do know that improving your lifestyle and connecting the dots between your mental and physical health can make an incredible difference. Dietary changes, working on say gut health and reducing stress can and in fact very often are very powerful tools to improve health long-term. Investigating your health through testing and making use of supplements and other remedies are incredible tools too. 

But getting better really requires action, and sometimes trying different things until you find the ones that work for you. And that’s what I will help you to do. 

No, my work is not restricted in terms of your location. As long as you have access to the internet or at least a phone number, then we’re good to go. 

I would investigate the availability of tests for your country but in most cases shipping is worldwide. 

I hold my sessions mainly during the day Monday to Fridays but also offer a few evening slots (UK time).

In my experience it works incredibly well. My clients often tell me how convenient this way of working together actually is. And if you don’t fancy seeing yourself on video, then we can also run our sessions via the phone or turn the video off. 

Depression and anxiety often come as a pair. I’ve had quite a few clients for whom anxiety was probably the more troubling issue, and we were able to calm down the nervous system and find better ways of dealing with all those unwanted thoughts and feelings. So yes, I also deal with anxiety. 

So am I trained in nutritional therapy as well as coaching. In a nutshell, as a coach I help you to get from where you are to where you want to be. It’s about helping you to grow and to become the kind of person you want to be. Coaching is very much about taking action and moving forward.
